The EcoTarium, New England’s leading science and nature center, today provided an update on its Third Century Plan, announcing a major contribution from The Hanover Insurance Group Foundation that creates a matching gift program for corporate donors. From hands-on explorations and Earth Day celebrations to traveling to the far reaches of the universe, EcoTarium's popular Earth Week will be jam-packed with activities for the whole family. Culminating in Worcester’s annual Earth Day Festival, Earth Week takes place April 17 – 20 at the EcoTarium, 222 Harrington Way, Worcester.
The EcoTarium will hold A Night at the Museum, a special evening for adults on Saturday, May 12 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. In a take-off of the popular 2006 film, starring Ben Stiller, exhibits will “come to life,” historical figures from Worcester, the world of science, and the EcoTarium’s nearly 200- year past will pay a visit, and hidden treasures from the museum’s collection will make an appearance.
