Great Pumpkin Fest

The biggest Halloween celebration for families in Central Massachusetts!

Join us for an afternoon and evening of family-friendly Halloween fun! More than a thousand of carved pumpkins will be lit up and on display, plus enjoy trick-or-treating, exciting entertainment, and more!

Friendly Halloween costumes are encouraged! Bring a flashlight to light your way at night and be sure to dress for the weather. This event takes place rain or shine. 

Refreshments

Light dinner items, snacks, and festival foods will be available for purchase throughout the event.  In addition, picnicking is welcome on the EcoTarium grounds.  Beverage and snack vending machines are available inside the museum on the Middle Level.

2:00–8:30 p.m. Eric’s LaPatisserie:  Sandwiches, chili, hot dogs, chips, cookies and beverages. Food Pavilion
2:00–8:30 p.m.  Jerry’s Novelties:  Popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream, hot dogs, pretzels and beverages. Lower Parking Lot area

Parking

Free parking is available on the EcoTarium property as space allows. Since Great Pumpkin Fest is a very busy event, be prepared to park off-site and to walk to the museum.

Tickets

$15 each,  $12 for EcoTarium members.  Children under 2 are FREE. 

Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the event, or in advance at the EcoTarium Tickets & Information Desk. Tickets are for one-time use, with no re-admittance during the event. For more information, please call 508.929.2700.

No coupons or discounts may be applied for Great Pumpkin Fest, and there are no refunds.  Proceeds benefit the EcoTarium.

Regular EcoTarium admission fees and hours do not apply on October 25. 
The museum is only open during hours of the event and with ticketed admission only.

Please note: We are working to update the Explorer Express Train and its tracks, so our train will not be open during the event. And due to construction on certain areas of the property, we will not be able to offer hay rides. With all of the Spooktacular science and entertainment, the evening will be full of fun!
