Professional Development for Teachers
The EcoTarium is committed to supporting systemic reform in PreK-12 education. We work with school districts and other educational organizations to support both individual teachers as well as schools as they implement Massachusetts' educational reform initiatives. We do this through workshops for teachers as well as through ongoing partnerships with local schools.
Each partnership is designed to provide teachers with ongoing support and training on a variety of topics including environmental sciences, urban ecology, inquiry-based learning, integration of computer technologies, and the implementation of national, state, and local curriculum frameworks and standards.
