Animals, Monsters and Heroes: Stories in the Stars

When you look at the stars, what stories do you see?

People from around the globe have always looked to the heavens and connected the dots of the stars to draw pictures and tell stories. Many of these stories featured animals, both common and fantastical. In Stories in the Stars, we unfold some of the ancient constellation stories from faraway places like India, Europe, Rome, and the Middle East. We’ll hear some of the myths and learn to identify some of the constellations, such as: Draco, the Dragon; Signus, the Swan; Delphinus, the Dolphin; and Canis Major, the Big Dog.
