Group Visits

With advance reservations, the EcoTarium offers discounted admission for groups of 10 or more; 5 or more for special needs groups. A variety of educational programs are also available for school, scout and recreational youth groups. A minimum charge applies for all group programs.

Group Rates 

Museum Admission is $7 per person. For school groups, teachers are admitted free and the per-person fee applies to students and chaperones.

• Alden Digital Planetarium: $5 per person plus museum admission. Minimum fee of $100 per group.
• Explorer Express Train: $2.50 per person plus museum admission. Minimum fee of $50 per group.
• PreK-12 Life, Earth and Physical Science Programs: $5 per person plus museum admission. Minimum fee of $100 per group.
• PreK-12 Astronomy Programs: $5 per person plus museum admission. Minimum fee of $100 per group.

Special Programs

Full payment for these special programs is required two weeks prior to visit date. Please call 508-929-2703 to schedule.

• Night Journey Overnights: $50.00 per person (Minimum group size is 28. Smaller groups please call for details.)
• Wild Toys wildlife program: $25 per person plus museum admission.

• Please reserve your date at least three weeks in advance. During May and June, we recommend reserving early for maximum program choice.
• Group leaders may book more than one educational program per visit.
• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required two weeks before your visit. The balance is due upon arrival. The EcoTarium accepts checks, Mastercard and Visa charges, and purchase orders payable within 30 days.
• A confirmation of your reservation will be sent upon receipt of your deposit or purchase order. Your reservation cannot be confirmed without a deposit.
• All chaperones must be booked and paid with the group reservation. Teachers are admitted to the museum for free but all programming charges are per person, including teachers.

Please keep in mind:

• EcoTarium membership, promotional coupons, teacher association cards or library passes cannot be used toward group admission.
• The minimum ratio of adults to K-12 age children or teens is 1 adult to 10 students. The minimum ratio for preschool children is 1 adult to 5 students.
• A special needs groups may book with a minimum of 5 people. One chaperone is admitted free for each visitor with special needs who needs one-to-one assistance.
• Administrative charges may be assessed for special requests and changes. No changes are accepted within two weeks of your arrival date.
• All bookings and deposits are processed by the date and in the order in which they are received.
