Visitor Evaluation Intern
EcoTarium internships provide experience working in a unique museum of science and nature. The internship program is open to undergraduate juniors and seniors and/or graduate students.
This is an ideal project for an individual or a class interested in museum and visitor studies, human use of the built environment, or research techniques in environmental psychology or landscape architecture. Interns will need to have a strong interest in visitor studies, ability to commit the necessary time, ability to collect and analyze data in a careful and professional manner, and ability to work independently. They will need to be able to be comfortable and courteous in approaching visitors and initiating interaction. Some knowledge of statistics would be helpful.
Interns will work with EcoTarium staff to plan the study, choose relevant techniques, collect and analyze data, and report on findings. The results of this project will play an important role in the development of a new exhibit plan for the museum.
Since we will by relying on the results for strategic planning, a commitment to completing the project in a thorough, scientific and timely manner is critical.
