Membership Intern

Reports to: 
Institutional Advancement Associate
Position Summary: 

The Membership team seeks a membership intern to assist with member correspondence and communication materials. The membership intern will learn the in’s and out’s of a non-profit development office from a membership perspective and gain experience working with a database.  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with databases or data entry; not required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Interest in non-profits/museums
  • Must be willing to communicate via email
  • Must pass a CORI background check in accordance with EcoTarium guidelines
  • Respond to member inquires via phone and email
  • Making "thank you" calls to members
  • Stuff and mail membership related materials
  • Track return mail and update mailing addresses
  • Enter membership data into database
  • Enter raffle information into excel spreadsheets
  • Take inventory and restock membership materials
  • Organize hard copy and electronic files
