Discovery Room
EcoTarium has a dedicated space for preschool-aged children and adults to play, create and investigate science and nature. The Discovery Room is a bright, welcoming area sized for young children and stocked with wonderful learning toys and tools.
In this room, you'll find:
- A puppet theater for creative play
- Playful ferrets in a large display
- A crawl-inside boat for imaginary voyages
- Comfortable area rugs, small chairs and couches for kids, and chairs and benches for you
- Storybooks
- Floor and table puzzles for busy fingers
- Animal puppets and dolls
The Discovery Room is a perfect place to reinforce connections made in the exhibit areas or outdoors on our grounds. You'll find plenty of activities to stimulate children to explore the world around them.
EcoTarium is committed to enriching the minds of its youngest visitors with preschool programming on a parent-friendly schedule. EcoTarium's popular group preschool programs, featuring nature and science investigations specially designed for preschoolers are now offered October through March.
