Wild About Nature

Camp Dates:
Monday, July 24, 2017 to Friday, July 28, 2017

If you’ve got dirt under your fingernails and mud on your boots, a head full of questions about nature, or a sore neck from looking up at the stars, this camp is for you! During this week designed for the “wild child,” tree huggers, and curious collectors, we’ll travel into outer space in the planetarium, and travel back in time as we examine fascinating objects from our extensive collection of natural history specimens that we store behind the scenes.

Meet our collections manager, and learn all about collecting and preserving items from the natural world. From plants, animals, rocks and minerals to outer space and beyond, we’ll make observations, play games, and engage in a week of wonder and fun!

  The camp session for Half-Day and Full-Day Tadpoles (ages 5 & 6), Eagle Eyes (ages 7 & 8), and Counselors-in-Training (ages 13 & 14) is full.
