Summer Camp: Registered Campers
Before Camp Begins
- Be sure that your Registration Form includes your child’s date of birth. This information ensures that he/she is placed in the appropriate age group. If you did not include this information on your form, please call the museum's Reservation office at 503.929.2703 to provide it so that his/her spot at camp is secured.
- Mark your calendar with the deadline for all final camp payments: May 31. All camp payments are nonrefundable.
- Be sure to fill out the EcoTarium Permission and Health History Forms for each child. These forms may be downloaded below or picked up at the EcoTarium's Information Desk. It is the parent’s responsibility to send in these forms before the child attends camp or he will be unable to attend. City Board of Health regulations require us to send your child home if we do not have these forms.

During Camp
Things to bring to camp, every day (campers)
- Backpack with name on it
- Lunch, snack, drink
- Plenty of water in a reusable bottle with the name of camper on it
- Sweater or sweatshirt, raincoat
- Sunglasses and hat or umbrella
- Shoes and clothes that can get wet and dirty in outdoor activities
- Extra shoes, socks and clothes in case camper gets wet or dirty
- Sunscreen (counselors will apply if not applied at home)
- Insect repellent (counselors will only apply based on parent request)
Thursday Evening Family Pizza Parties
On Thursday afternoons (only the second Thursday of Amazing Animals Camp) from 5 to 5:30 p.m. campers and their families are invited to a pizza party provided by the EcoTarium, as well as to explore the museum grounds and camp galleries. On Thursdays, the regular camp day will be extended, with sign-out and pickup taking place outside by the tent at 5 p.m. (In the event of rain, sign-out will be at its regular location in the classrooms.) At 6:30, we will join together for a viewing of the session's photo slideshow and camp songs and presentations.
Camp Family Sleepover - Saturday August 11
EcoTarium campers from any 2012 summer camp session and their families looking for a little extra adventure this summer, can spend the night for a family sleepover on Saturday, August 11. The evening will include a snack, free time, and special programs run by the museum staff -- not to mention the experience of sleeping among the exhibits! A continental breakfast will be served the following morning. Campers must be accompanied by at least one adult chaperone. All sleepover participants must bring their own sleeping bag, pillow, and personal items.
This camp must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and be licensed by the City of Worcester Board of Health.
