DinoTracks

The hunt for dinosaurs begins here! Step into their footprints, hear and feel their footsteps, and come face-to-face with some of the dinosaurs who made them. DinoTracks starts where scientists first began studying dinosaurs (at their feet). Focusing on fossil discoveries, the exhibit engages visitors of all ages in trying out hands-on scientific study methods and getting down on the ground to put their new skills to work. DinoTracks is a please-touch exhibit presented in three languages: English, Spanish and French.

Engage your curiosity about dinosaurs in Super-Saurus Saturdays, a weekly interactive, science program held every Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

Preschool & Toddler Wednesdays
Wednesdays, 1/9/2013 - 12/18/2013 10:30 AM-11:00 AM
- $14 adults, $8 children ages 2-18, $10 seniors and students with ID; free for members
Join us every week for our special preschool and toddler program. Enjoy a story, meet a live animal, and get creative with a supervised craft activity -- all geared especially for little ones aged 3 and under. These preschool and toddler programs are very popular and space is limited. So, while they are free with admission, tickets are issued at the Ticket & Information Desk on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that these programs are designed for families.

Alice's Wonderland: a most curious adventure

Journey down the rabbit hole to explore Alice's Wonderland. This award-winning traveling exhibition is based on Lewis Carroll's classic, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The exhibition inspires curiosity, encourages exploration, and helps make the unknown more familiar, maybe even logical, and certainly fun. Alice's Wonderland was created by the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose.

Tree Canopy Walkway
Saturdays, 5/25/2013 - 8/24/2013 11:00 AM-4:00 PM

Take your family on a sky-high safari this summer! Experience what it's like to walk in the treetops -- and be a treetop scientist -- on the EcoTarium's Tree Canopy Walkway, the only one in New England. You'll explore the tree canopy 40 feet above the ground, harnessed and clipped to swinging bridges spanning 150 feet, and moving between a series of tree platforms. You'll end your adventure by zipping down to the forest floor in our comfy (and secure) chair harness.

All children must be 5 or older and accompanied by an adult. Ages 12 and older can participate without a chaperone. Tree Canopy Walkway sessions last 30 minutes and start on the half hour. For complete instructions on how to prepare for your canopy adventure, visit the EcoTarium's website or call the museum.

In June, we'll play outdoors in our popular exhibit, Bubbles. We'll investigate the fascinating science of suds, while making bubbles of all kinds of shapes and sizes.

Ponding in Canoes and Paddleboats

- $5 per boat, (plus EcoTarium admission), free for members
Get a whole new outdoor perspective by venturing out onto the EcoTarium's Lower Pond in a canoe or paddle boat. Paddle boats and canoes seat up to 4 people, depending on the size of the children. Each session on the water lasts 20 minutes.
