Preschool and Toddler Wednesdays

Wednesday is Preschool and Toddler day at the EcoTarium! Kids ages 4 and under enjoy a story, make crafts, and meet an animal. Each week features a different theme and surprise animal visitor. The program includes a simple snack (apple juice and animal crackers for kids, coffee and tea for grownups). Bring your friends and explore the museum afterwards!

Tickets are first come, first served at the Tickets and Information Desk.

Its Electric! Saturdays

During this special weekly Science Discovery program, held each Saturday at 2:30 p.m., get an in-depth look at how currents flow through circuits, investigate static electricity, or explore examples of electricity in the natural world.

This classic exhibit brings science and the history of electricity to life through interactive activities. Fundamental principles such as magnetic fields, electric charges, and battery technology are explored through interactive stations. Visitors can safely examine concepts such as static electricity and live current, motors, batteries and wires, attraction and repulsion, sparks, charge and discharge, voltage, AC and DC, magnetic fields and magnetic motion, lights, telegraphs and transmitters, and more.

Winter Vacation: Frozen Forest

Explore the chilly world within the frozen forest during February school vacation! We will investigate how animals survive winter and explore the science of snow.
