DESCRIPTION: Join turtle expert David M. Carroll- acclaimed author and illustrator of the natural histories The Year of the Turtle, The Swampwalker's Journal, Trout Reflections and Self Portrait with Turtles- for an engaging look at one cool creature.
As a kickoff celebration for EcoTarium's new exhibit Turtle Travels, Carroll will entertain and inform museum visitors with slides and stories based on his firsthand experience tracking turtles.
Mr. Carroll is an active lecturer and advocate for turtles and wetlands. His popular presentations on turtle ecology, wetland habitats and workshops on nature-journaling have been featured in elementary schools, colleges, universities, conservation institutions and libraries.
