(WORCESTER, MA)— This Halloween season, the EcoTarium and Citadel Communications radio stations WXLO, WORC and The Fox are teaming up to bring a breathtaking display of carved pumpkins and community-spirited Halloween fun to Worcester.
This family-friendly Halloween event will transform the EcoTarium for three consecutive evenings— October 28, 29 & 30— with 1,000 illuminated pumpkins artistically displayed by category on the museum grounds. Families can view pumpkins along the train route, with free train rides all evening long, as well as on the grounds. In addition, the museum and grounds will be open for exploring exhibits or enjoying family activities, stories, hayrides (weather-permitting), candy giveaways and more.
Nightly admission for Great Pumpkin Nights is $10 per adult and $8 per child 12 and under. Proceeds from the event will benefit the EcoTarium.
Making this event a true community endeavor, pumpkins will be carved by local art classes, artists and community organizations, with awards in a number of categories. Organizations who would like information on participating in Great Pumpkin Nights should contact the EcoTarium at (508) 929-2741 before October 15.
