Internship: Exhibits & Programs
EcoTarium internships provide experience working in a unique museum of science and nature. The internship program is open to undergraduate juniors and seniors and/or graduate students.
Position Description
Exhibit Development Intern
Project Supervisor
Betsy Loring, Manager of Exhibits
Responsibilities
Work in cooperation with the Ecotarium's exhibit development team in the following areas:
- Do background research for exhibits and present results to exhibit team
- Evaluate the effectiveness of prototypes with museum visitors
- Opportunity to write text for exhibits
- Opportunity to design exhibits and/or build prototypes (working exhibit models)
Qualifications
- Strong research and writing skills
- Strong background in life sciences, environmental sciences, or related fields
- Interest or background in educational, museum studies or leisure studies desirable
- Art or design skills helpful

Structure of Internship
- Minimum commitment of one semester
- Miniumum commitment of two days per week
- Students who wish to receive course credit must arrange this through their college or university
