EcoTarium internships provide experience working in a unique museum of science and nature. The internship program is open to undergraduate juniors and seniors and/or graduate students.

Position Summary
This position provides the initial contact for all outside calls in a positive manner and is responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the reception area.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- A comprehensive knowledge of the museum and its programs is essential and will be provided through on-the-job training
- Answering all incoming calls and directing them to appropriate department
- Opening, sorting, and logging incoming mail
- Receiving and directing staff visitors
- Announce over the PA System Public Program times, location, and price
- Carry out designated duties as assigned by manager
Non-essential Functions
- Assist other departments with secretarial support when needed
Qualifications
- Pleasant, clear voice for telephone calls
- Applicant must be reliable
- Outgoing, friendly personality
- Tact, problem solving and diplomacy essential
- Articulate, comfortable using a multi line phone system
- Good sense of direction
- Detail-oriented
